This 2001 Atlas Copco M2D was rebuilt by SHM in Kalgoorlie Approximately 2 years ago. Current hours are as follows
- Engine – 1534hrs
- Power pack 1 – 8517hrs
- Power pack 2 – 8523hrs
- Compressor – 1545hrs
MODIFICATIONS
The following conducted by SHM
· The centre hitch is now a tapered bearing set which has proven far more reliable, durable and a lot less labour intensive than the OEM. A separate parts list is included as an attachment.
· The Boom Zoom Tube wear pieces are a larger assembly which is also more durable and less labour intensive. In addition the Zoom Tubes have been chromed to decrease wear.
· The DPU knuckles and Boom Anchor knuckles are the spring collet type instead of the fixed pin type, these assist in disassembly and assembly times.
· There are also hydraulic modifications with the schematics included with the manuals. The valving used is simple and far more reliable.
Other Modifications
· There is a steering pin modification which was necessary for safety reasons; all relevant info is available. The parts required for this can be easily machined.
· The air compressor is a Hydrovane 711-7 Series; this is less than 6 months old. There is a manual and parts catalogue with the rest of the paperwork. This is a 1000v driven compressor.
